The Fort Smith Board of Schooling on Tuesday approved a resolution to submit the application for a new K-8 virtual option conversion constitution school to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The vote was 4-1.
“The conversion charter is what we are searching at for ‘22-23 and past,” stated Samantha Corridor, assistant director of innovation for the Fort Smith school district.

The charter will be a permanent option that will integrate the digital academy, and based on the basis of the Fort Smith schools’ mission statement, she extra.

The conversion charter would be a new local schooling agency within the college district.
